About Tara

When I look at portraits of my children as newborns and it always takes me back to how I felt in those first precious weeks of their lives. They bring back the joy and the exhaustion, the smell of baby shampoo and the feel of their velvety soft skin against mine. As they have grown the images I've captured remind me of the first time they reluctantly crawled across a lawn, their joy in discovering the world around them. As I look at those images I'm taken back to who they were at that moment in time, and who I was as well. These are the things I strive to capture in my photography. The real moments of life that bring a feeling of happiness and nostalgia when you remember them.

As a mother of three boys, I feel that experience gives me a different take on photographing children and families. I know how to work with children at all ages to bring out their personality. With over 6 years of experience as a photographer, I've photographed many children and many families; this experience is a fundamental part of how I work as an artist. I love what I do and I feel that shows in my work. I look forward to many more years of having the privilege of creating memories for other families.

Charity

Tara is a member of the ACPCG, an organization created to provide photo sessions at no cost for families whose children are suffering from a terminal illness or those who have experienced an early infant loss. The ACPCG also offers their services to parents who are suffering from a terminal illness and wish to capture the special bond between them and their children.
